Located in the heart of the bustling Flatiron District, James Corbett Studio is an award winning, full-service hair salon offering expert color, cuts, styling and advanced hair and scalp treatments in a welcoming, Zen-like setting that vibrates with positive, uplifting energy.
We are inspired every day to draw out the beauty that exists in each and every one of our clients– allowing their outer and inner beauty to shine through and to spread joy one head at a time.
Inspired by the original concept of a “salon”, where kindred spirits gathered to share their passions and develop their artistic expression, James Corbett Studio was founded in 2007 as an “ insider’s” space for leading beauty experts and influencers to have their hair transformed in a luxurious loft above Union Square. As word spread, so too did the global roster of clients.
In 2012, the Studio moved to our current location – an airy space featuring a luxury beauty boutique, secret meditation garden, and a “color bar” born out of James’ philosophy that, when it comes to hair– one size does not fit all.
For James, beauty is synonymous with inspiration and tranquility. He embodies a true passion for his craft and believes that every client deserves a personalized experience in an uplifting space, allowing their inner and outer beauty to shine. His philosophy that a visit to his salon should not only beautify but also empower and uplift lead him to establish Hair2Help, a non-profit that provides complimentary beauty and wellness services to cancer patients and their caregivers.
As Corbett’s studio and career continue to thrive, he remains that inspirational artist/best friend who masterfully brings out the beauty, and positive energy, of every client who sits down in his chair.
